The School Day

School Day Schedule and Safe Pick-Up/Drop-Off Protocols

Students must be picked up promptly.

If someone other than the student’s parents are picking up, the office must be notified. We will not release your child to anyone other than his or her parents unless we have been notified.

Traffic flow: To avoid congestion, please drive all the way down to the turnaround at the end of the road to get in line to drop off or pick up your child. Please DO NOT cut across the flow of traffic to “save time” as this causes frustration for all.

The School day

Start of the class lessons: 9:00 am. Arriving late to school is disruptive to a student and the student’s class. We encourage all students to be punctual. All students should be in school no later than 8:50 am.

Snack and lunch break

At 10:30 a.m. the children have a drink and light snack, preferably fruit. Please help your child develop good eating habits by packing healthy food and a minimum of “junk food”. Snack and lunch are eaten in class under supervision.

Snack and lunch must be sent with the child in the morning. It can be disruptive to students and staff when a child receives their lunch late. Please ensure your child also has the appropriate cutlery.

We encourage students to drink a lot of water during the day and take their water flasks whenever they play outdoors. Please ensure flasks are FULL on arrival at school.

Playtimes are monitored by at least two members of staff.
